1. Your company must provide products or services to the residents and businesses of Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Prestbury or Northwich.
2. We gratefully acknowledge the support of businesses whose adverts appear in The Directories, and whilst every care is taken to ensure accuracy, the publishers cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage or omission caused by error in the printing of an advert or other information.
3. Adverts are accepted on the understanding that descriptions of goods and services are fair and accurate. The publishers cannot accept responsibility for views expressed by contributors, or for the accuracy of claims made by advertisers.
4. Copy for your advertisement should be sent before the copy deadline date (usually the 20th of the month proceeding delivery). If you have requested that your ad/editorial be written/designed by us, it is your responsibility to ensure that you give us the correct information about your business.
5. Advertisements submitted to us should be in at least one of the following formats: MS Publisher, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, JPEG, or PDF. In a minimum of 300 DPI, they may be submitted by E-mail to ads@compassdirectory.co.uk or sent to us on a disk.
6. We take no responsibility for the content of your ad. It is your responsibility to ensure that your ad is legal and copyright free. We cannot accept ads which you do not have permission to copy, e.g. From a Yellow Pages advertisement.
7. It is the responsibility of the advertiser to submit new copy if the ad is to change by the copy deadline.
8. If you wish to use an advert designed by us in another publication you will be required to pay The Compass Directories a fee and seek permission from us for its use.
9. We reserve the right to refuse advertisements which may be defamatory or offensive or which promote products that may be considered indecent.
10. We can make no guarantees that your ad will be successful; therefore we are unable to offer you a refund if you receive no response. The cost of your ad covers the cost of printing.
11. When you book your ad, you are agreeing to pay the current ad price by the due date. The due date is the date stated on your invoice. In cases of overdue accounts, we will exercise our statutory rights under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. In this respect, interest at the rate of 3 per cent above base rate per 14-day period will be added, compounded in each 14-day period on any outstanding balance from the date of the invoice until the date of receipt of payment in full. Also, please be advised that, in accordance with European Directive 2000/35/EC, a debt recovery fee of £40 will be charged.
12. Advertisement bookings in 12 issues or more may be paid by monthly standing order. For a Standing Order form, contact The Compass Directory on 01625 526989. If you wish to cancel Your Standing Order, you must inform The Compass Directory before the next deadline date. Failure to do so may result in your ad being included in the following edition and you will be sent a separate invoice which you are required to pay in full.
13. The distribution area may be altered at the publisher's discretion without prior warning.
14. The publisher reserves the right to increase rates at any time with immediate effect. However long term advertisers are protected for the duration of the contract.
